The work of Krista Thomas a Louisiana based artist of Art by Kikajo is mostly inspired by the creation of nature. Krista uses pen and ink, watercolors and acrylics to create her artwork. Her love of the sea, landscapes of all nature and animals get her creative juices flowing. Krista comes from a family of artist and has been drawing all of her life. She is passionate about art and loves detail. All artwork is her own and makes it available on wall art, fine prints, stationary, mugs, pillows and more for others to enjoy for themselves or gift for a loved one.
Our Story
Art by Kikajo began their professional artistic journey in 2013 when Krista took her hobby and started selling online on Etsy, Facebook and Instagram. Krista is also known by Kikajo a nickname given to her as a little girl from her family. She has participated in a number of collaborative projects with other online stores, and art collaborations with her husband who works with metal and gemstones. Her son also is into art since being a child he has been sculpting with clay and making stop motion animation. Unlike many of their contemporaries, Art by Kikajo is primarily self-taught and has her own approach to - and definition of - art. She went to Cosmetology School and was a Make-up Artist before changing professions to Graphic Designing in her younger years. As a hobby, in her spare time she would always draw. Now her passionate Hobby is now a reality.
